Mixero Mixer Review: Bitcoin & Ethereum Privacy, Rechecked This Week

We rebuilt this review from scratch over the past few days, checking everything the Mixero mixer currently documents against recent independent write-ups. It went live on October 27, 2026, so this is the service as it stands today, not a snapshot from last year.

This update: limits and fee logic rechecked, ETH routing through the Monero bridge confirmed, mode descriptions rewritten and the FAQ refreshed.

What the Mixero bitcoin mixer actually does

The Mixero crypto mixer is custodial. You send coins to a deposit address it generates, it pools them with other people's funds, and later pays the same value minus a fee to addresses you set in advance. What disappears is the on-chain link between the coins you sent and the coins you receive. In standard mode the service relies on CoinJoin-style pooling, so your deposit travels next to transactions sent around the same time and an observer sees a crowd instead of one sender.

The minimum is 0.002 BTC, which keeps dust out of the pool, and the fee is a slider rather than a fixed percentage. Pay more and you jump the queue, pay less and you wait. A built-in calculator shows the exact amount that will land on the other side before you commit, more transparency than the old-school bitcoin tumblers ever offered.

Mixero BTC mixer or ETH mixer?

Most people still arrive for Bitcoin, but the Mixero Ethereum mixer has quietly become the more interesting half of the service. Ethereum is account-based, so one wallet's whole history sits in plain view. The service treats ETH the way it treats BTC in Advanced Mode: funds pass through Monero and come back as ETH on a new address, so the chain you leave and the chain you arrive on never touch directly.

On the Bitcoin side the Mixero mixer lets you choose between plain pooling and the deeper routes below. Either way you get back the asset you sent, which saves the extra exchange step people tend to forget about.

Four routes inside the Mixero tumbler

This is where the Mixero mixer stops looking like a typical btc mixer. Pick a route and the dashboard rebuilds the order around it.

CoinJoin-style pooling with other users' transactions. Quick and cheap, and enough to separate an everyday payment from a wallet you would rather keep to yourself.

Logs, Tor access and the guarantee letter

By its own policy the Mixero mixer keeps no activity logs: order details live only until the job finishes, mostly so support can troubleshoot, and are wiped when the session expires. That is a policy, not something anyone can audit from outside, so pair it with your own habits. The onion version works in Tor Browser and keeps your IP out of the session. Every order also comes with a signed Letter of Guarantee. Save it before sending anything, since it is the one document that proves what the service promised if a payout ever stalls.

Where the service falls short

No mixer is magic, and this one is not an exception. It is custodial, so for the length of the mix you are trusting the operator with your coins. Some exchanges refuse funds that have passed through any bitcoin mixer, the Mixero blender included, and a strict compliance desk may freeze them. Reusing a payout address, merging mixed outputs with old coins or connecting without Tor can undo most of the privacy you paid for. Check how your country treats mixing services before you use one.

Mixero crypto FAQ

Is the Mixero mixer legit?

It has been covered by independent crypto publications since at least 2024, publishes its limits openly and issues a signed guarantee for every order. It is still custodial, so you trust the operator while the mix runs.

What is the minimum deposit for Mixero BTC?

0.002 BTC. Smaller deposits are not processed.

Does it support Ethereum?

Yes. ETH goes through the Monero bridge in Advanced Mode and comes back out as ETH on a new address.

How long does a mix take?

It depends on the fee, the mode and any delay you add. Standard with a higher fee is the fastest; Ricochet and Advanced take longer by design.

Can I use it over Tor?

Yes. The onion version works in Tor Browser and keeps your IP address out of the session.

Authoritative view

In November 2024 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled in Van Loon v. Department of the Treasury that the immutable smart contracts behind Tornado Cash are not property that OFAC can sanction, and the Treasury lifted those sanctions in March 2025. The case was about non-custodial code rather than custodial services like this one, but it is still the clearest signal from a federal appeals court that privacy software is not sanctionable just for existing.
